About me

Keynote Speaker. Writer. Engineer. DEI Advocate. Mum

Blending technical expertise with creative storytelling and human-centred leadership.

Who am I

With two Master’s degrees in Engineering and a three-year course in Creative Writing, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and creative insight, backed by 17 years of experience in the energy, aerospace, and automotive industries—experience I now bring into my work as a consultant, keynote speaker, and founder of The Intersectional Hub.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a design engineer, project manager, and onshore/offshore surveyor, eventually stepping into leadership roles.

But my most meaningful role? Mum. To an incredible child who reminds me daily why empathy and advocacy matter.

What I bring

I lead with empathy—it’s how I connect, understand, and build trust. My creativity and abstract thinking help me challenge the norm and offer new perspectives, while my honesty and passion inspire others to walk with me toward change.

As a leader, I’ve:

  • Supported diverse teams by building on their strengths—not their weaknesses
  • Advocated for mental health in the workplace
  • Led inclusive hiring campaigns
  • Mentored and championed colleagues from all walks of life

I don’t just manage people—I invest in their potential.

These are the same principles I now bring to my coaching and speaking, helping leaders and organisations create psychologically safe, inclusive workplaces.

What drives me

As a single working mum I’ve faced the glass ceiling, felt the pressure of non-inclusive spaces, and had to navigate systems not built with people like me in mind. These experiences fuel my deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

My DEI work is personal. It’s about making workplaces—and the world—more inclusive, supportive, and empowering for everyone.

What I’m creating

Creative writing is more than a hobby to me—it’s how I make sense of the world.

Through fiction, I explore themes like neurodivergence, gender, motherhood, abuse, and loneliness—stories rooted in lived reality but told through imaginative worlds.

This same storytelling lens shapes my work at The Intersectional Hub, where I use narrative to shift mindsets, amplify unheard voices, and spark systemic change.

I’ve written three novels that I hope to publish one day. Until then, I continue blending creativity and advocacy—because stories, whether in fiction or in business, have the power to transform how we see ourselves and each other.
