Keynote Speaker. Leadership Expert. Engineer. Writer. Mum.
Blending technical expertise with creative storytelling and human-centred leadership.
Who am I
With two Master’s degrees in Engineering and a three-year course in Creative Writing, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and creative insight, backed by 17 years of experience in the energy, aerospace, and automotive industries — experience I now bring into my work as a consultant, keynote speaker, and founder of The Intersectional Hub.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a design engineer, project manager, and onshore/offshore surveyor, eventually stepping into leadership roles.
But my most meaningful role is being a mum to an incredible child who reminds me daily why empathy and advocacy matter.

What I bring
I lead with empathy; it’s how I connect, understand, and build trust. My creativity and abstract thinking help me challenge the norm and offer new perspectives, while my honesty and passion inspire others to walk with me toward change.
As a leader, I’ve:
- Supported diverse teams by building on their strengths, not their weaknesses
- Advocated for mental health in the workplace
- Led inclusive hiring campaigns
- Mentored and championed colleagues from all walks of life
I don’t just manage people; I invest in their potential.

My Edge
Alongside my leadership and engineering experience, I bring practical insight into how workplace practices interact with UK employment law, particularly under the Equality Act 2010. This includes understanding how issues such as direct and indirect discrimination, discrimination arising from disability, reasonable adjustments, harassment, victimisation, and pregnancy and maternity protections are considered in practice, as well as how organisational decisions may be assessed in formal processes.
I also have working knowledge of employment tribunal procedures and the ACAS Code of Practice, providing me with a grounded perspective on how culture, communication, and leadership behaviours can influence both employee experience and organisational risk.
This perspective allows me to support organisations not only in building inclusive environments, but in understanding the real human, financial, and reputational implications when inclusion is not effectively embedded in practice.
These are the same principles I now bring to my coaching and speaking, helping leaders and organisations create psychologically safe, inclusive workplaces.

What drives me
As a single working mum and a neurodivergent adult I’ve faced the glass ceiling, felt the pressure of non-inclusive spaces, and had to navigate systems not built with people like me in mind. These experiences fuel my deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
My work is personal. It’s about making workplaces and the world more inclusive, supportive, and empowering for everyone.
